Each year, the Knox Basketball program offers the NBA Coach Clinic. On Tuesday, our basketball students had the opportunity to train with Noel Hightower, Player Development Coach for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.

The atmosphere in the Lawson Centre was focused and energetic. Students received expert gameplay insights and immediately put best practice techniques into play with one-to-one feedback from Noel.
Before the training session, we asked Noel a few questions:
I have two passions. I love people and helping people. And I love athletics. So, basketball and coaching allowed me to blend those two passions together.
To have them play to the standard that we create in the NBA. My biggest thing is to get the best of everybody around me. And I think the best way to do that is to raise the standard and have them reach up to that standard.
When we walked into gym today, the students were already getting warmed up, and getting prepared to work out and play. So, I'm really excited to see their level of focus and commitment to the game.
It is thanks to Australian coach Liam Flynn that we have an NBA coach come to Knox Grammar School to train our students annually. Liam has a wealth of experience in NBA, Euroleague, and NBL with teams such as Charlotte Hornets, Phoenix Suns, and Adelaide 36ers.
