Knox Theatre Ensemble will present Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest' in the Drama Theatre from 19 to 21 March.
Knox Grammar School
'The Importance of Being Earnest' was the first theatre production ever staged at Knox in 1929.
Profits from the 1929 production contributed to the Athletics Team fundraising for hurdles.
Given this history in the life of the School, it is fitting that 'The Importance of Being Earnest' is the first production to be staged in the Drama Theatre of the new Junior Academy and Performing Arts Centre.
This classic Wilde comedy has delighted audiences since it debut in 1897. The verve and acidic wit of Wilde's dialogue has challenged and inspired the Year 11 cast from Knox, Pymble Ladies' College and Loreto Normanhurst.
When: Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 March, 7.30pm
Where: Knox Drama Theatre, Junior Academy and Performing Arts Centre
Cost: Tickets $20 (tickets limited)
