The Knox Grammar School Swimming Team has won the Associated Schools of NSW (CAS) Swimming Championship for the third consecutive year. It was a nail biting finish with the event going down to the final relay of the night.
The Knox Swim Team of approximately 100 students broke five CAS records at the competition at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre last Thursday, in front of a packed crowd of more than 1,000 Knox students, parents and staff.
The Knox 14 years 200 metre freestyle relay team of Benji Allen, Tane Bidois, Kai Lilienthal and Charlie Anderson broke the CAS championship record with a time of 1 minute 45.91 seconds.
The Knox 17 years 200 metre medley relay team of Josh Johnson, Toby Peknice, Oscar Wang and Dylan Zhang broke the competition record with a time of 1 minute 49.69 seconds.
Records were also broken by Tane Bidois (14 years 50m backstroke), Tyson Bujak-Upton (17 years 200m freestyle) and Joseph Hamson (16 years 100m freestyle).
Knox won 39 of the 73 events at the competition. The overall winner of the points competition was Knox (547 points), with Trinity Grammar finishing second (543). The Knox Diving Team finished third overall.
This is the 32nd time Knox Grammar School has won the CAS trophy since first winning the competition in 1933.

The evening reflected the School’s commitment to partnering with families on some of the most significant issues facing young people today, creating space for informed discussion, shared learning and meaningful engagement around the challenges and opportunities of life in an increasingly connected digital world.

Participants of the Knox Leader Development Program recently gathered in the Bryden Room to present their leadership projects and reflect on their development as leaders. It was an inspiring occasion, with staff sharing their vision and purpose, achievements and future goals, leadership journey, and key learnings gained through the process.

Year 12 student Nathan represented Australia for the third time in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), travelling to Uzbekistan in Term 3 to compete with hundreds of students from dozens of countries across the globe.
