Students from Knox broke four CAS records and finished second overall in both swimming and diving.
Knox Grammar School
Forty-two swimmers and 13 divers represented Knox at the meet, with three individual records and one relay record broken by the Knox team.
William Yang (Year 12) broke two records: Open 50 metre Fly (24.83 seconds) and Open 100 metre Backstroke (57.50 seconds).
Leon MacAlister (Year 10) broke the 17 years 100 metre Backstroke record with a time of 58.71 seconds.
Andrew Hemsworth (Knox Swim Captain), Leon MacAlister, Sam Ritchens, William Yang broke the record for the Open 200m Freestyle Relay with a time of 1 min 35.1 seconds.
Knox won 35 of the 73 events. The overall winner of the points competition was Trinity Grammar (543 points), with Knox finishing second (539).

On the weekend, our top Chess players continued their solid run in Chess competitions this year by securing first place in the Secondary Open NSW ASTC Playoffs. In December, Harvey (Year 8), Lucas (Year 8), Ethan (Year 9), Richard (Year 9), Savin (Year 10) and Ralph (Year 12) will represent Knox Grammar School and New South Wales at the Finals in Melbourne.

On Saturday 6 September, team ‘Molten Ice’ achieved first place in the 2025 ProgComp Grand Final. This High Schools Programming Competition is powered by ‘cupcake’, an initiative of the UNSW School of Computer Science and Engineering.
