Congratulations to our Knox Basketball Team on taking out the gold medal in the Under 20 division at the 2022 Australian Schools Basketball Championships on the Gold Coast.
Knox Grammar School
On the way to the gold medal, Knox defeated The King’s School, Barker College and St Joseph’s College Brisbane and had one loss to Brisbane Boys’ College in the rounds. In the semi-final Knox defeated St. Dominic’s College, Kingswood 56 to 51 to set-up the final with local Gold Coast school, Hillcrest Christian College. At the end of regulation time, the scores were locked. Knox then scored and pulled away to win 57-51 and take the title for the first time. Well done to the players, coaches and parents!

On the weekend, our top Chess players continued their solid run in Chess competitions this year by securing first place in the Secondary Open NSW ASTC Playoffs. In December, Harvey (Year 8), Lucas (Year 8), Ethan (Year 9), Richard (Year 9), Savin (Year 10) and Ralph (Year 12) will represent Knox Grammar School and New South Wales at the Finals in Melbourne.

On Saturday 6 September, team ‘Molten Ice’ achieved first place in the 2025 ProgComp Grand Final. This High Schools Programming Competition is powered by ‘cupcake’, an initiative of the UNSW School of Computer Science and Engineering.
