This is a tremendous honour for trumpet players to ‘sound’ these demanding calls for such meaningful and prestigious commemorations, no matter how big or small each individual event is.
Overwhelmingly, the feedback from our venues, both long standing and new, was exceptionally positive once again for 2025: “We were truly honoured to have him join us for this years’ service; his performance was moving and made a lasting impact on our community.”
The following compiled messages of thanks from event organisers capture the honour and service our buglers bring to these events.
“He truly represented Knox with grace, integrity, and a level of maturity beyond his years. His performance of the bugle calls was not only flawless but deeply moving. He brought such a sense of reverence and sincerity to the occasion that it left a lasting impact on everyone present.”
“It is also incredibly commendable that he chose to give up part of his school holidays and take time out of his Year 12 studies to be with us for this meaningful occasion. That choice reflects not just his personal values but the ethos of Knox – Faith, Wisdom, Integrity, Compassion, Courage.”
“We really appreciate the support from Knox and look forward to future collaborations.”
We look forward to seeing and hearing Percy and Lucas perform their bugle calls once again at our Anzac Memorial Service on Sunday 18 May.

Our senior students recently gathered for the 2026 Knox Careers Insight Evening. The evening opened with a powerful keynote from Aden Mann (OKG10), who challenged students to think differently about their futures and the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Drawing on his own journey since graduating from Knox in 2010, Aden shared practical advice on career adaptability and lifelong learning.
